On the occasion of Russia’s Unity Day, Al-Baour emphasizes the GNU’s commitment to developing Libyan-Russian partnership.

Tripoli, 5 November 2025 (Lana) El Taher El-Baour, Acting GNU Minister of Foreign Affairs, reiterated the government’s commitment to further strengthening Libyan-Russian relations to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
This came in a speech delivered by him during his participation alongside Aydar Aghanin, Ambassador of Russia to Libya, in the celebration organized by the Embassy in Tripoli on the occasion of Russia’s Unity Day, commemorated annually on November 4.
In his remark, Al-Baour conveyed the congratulations of Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dbeibah to the government and people of the Russian Federation, along with his sincere wishes for continued progress and prosperity.
He emphasized the depth of the historical relations that unite Libya and Russia and their friendly peoples, noting the progress relations have witnessed recently through the signing of various agreements and meetings that together constitute the legal and political framework of this strong partnership.
The celebration was attended by a number of members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Libya and several officials and dignitaries.
