Takala discusses the political situation in the country and the UN roadmap with the US Chargé d'Affaires

Tripoli, November 4, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Tuesday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, and the embassy's Economic Affairs Officer, James Frumson, to discuss the political situation in the country, the UN roadmap for a solution, and its implementation mechanisms.
According to the High Council of State, the meeting addressed the political situation in the country, the proposed UN roadmap for a political solution, and its practical implementation mechanisms. They also discussed the issue of activating the Constitutional Court and its implications for the unity of the Libyan judiciary.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between Libyan institutions and the international community to support the path to stability and hold elections as soon as possible.
