Committee for Economic Cooperation of the OIC discusses ways to enhance intra-trade among member states.

Tripoli, 2 November 2025 (Lana) Libya participated in the 41st session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which commenced on 1st November 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Libya was represented by the Commercial Attaché in Istanbul, Omar Darhoub; the COMCEC official at the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Essam Al-Malhouf; and the Director of the Department of Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khairi Al-Alam.
The current session is discussing the latest global economic developments, with particular attention to the situation of OIC member states, in addition to the 2025 Executive Program.
It is also discussing ways to enhance intra-trade among member states and cooperation on digital transformation projects.
The session is scheduled to conclude with the adoption of draft resolutions, which will be presented to the ministerial meeting to be held on Monday, with the participation of ministers from OIC member states.
