Al-Haddad meets with the new French Ambassador.

Tripoli, 28 October 2025 (Lana) The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, received yesterday, at his office in Tripoli, the new Ambassador of France to Libya, Thierry Vallat, accompanied by the French Defense Military Attaché.
During the meeting, Al-Haddad welcomed the French Ambassador, wishing him success in his new duties and expressing his thanks and appreciation for the former Ambassador's fruitful efforts during his tenure, which had a positive impact on strengthening cooperation between Libya and France, particularly in the military and security areas.
The two parties discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop military and technical support programs in various areas of common interest, which would contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the Libyan military institution.
For his part, the French Ambassador affirmed his country's commitment to supporting the efforts made by the General Staff to unify and advance the Libyan military institution, highlighting that France continues to support the process of stability in Libya through its active participation in relevant international meetings and conferences.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
