The Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture meets with the Ubae Roma Bank, affiliated with the Libyan Foreign Bank

Tripoli, October 26, 2025 (LANA) - The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture held a meeting today with the Ubae Rome Bank, affiliated with the Libyan Foreign Bank, to discuss the recent decisions of the Central Bank of Libya and how to facilitate procedures for documentary and financial credits for Libyan merchants and companies.
The meeting - which was attended by member of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, "Anwar Abusta", member of the Board of Directors, "Najib Al-Ghawi", General Manager, "Mohamed Dozan", and, on behalf of Ubae Bank, General Manager, "Maurizio Valfrii", Deputy Director, "Al-Sharif Alwan", and Head of the Bank's Administration Department, "Antonio Verelli", also discussed overcoming the financial obstacles faced by Libyan businessmen and Libyan companies when dealing with the European market.
According to the Chamber’s media office, the Ubae Rome Bank intends, during its visit to Tripoli, to hold meetings with the Central Bank of Libya, as the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce asked the bank to discuss the challenges and difficulties facing merchants and business owners in bank transfer operations, with the aim of enhancing and facilitating financial and commercial operations between Libya and Europe.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Anwar Abusta, stressed the necessity of cooperation between banks, business owners and merchants, especially with regard to procedures and financial transfers, with the escalation of the challenges that Libya is experiencing with commercial banks.
