Doha, October 23, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Rajab Abdul-Sadig, discussed the forum's programs and future plans with the Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) on Thursday, on the sidelines of the 27th Ministerial Meeting of the Forum, held in Doha, Qatar.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas reported on its official Facebook page that the meeting addressed ways to enhance Libya's role in supporting joint action among member states and contributing to achieving stability and sustainable development in the global energy sector.

During the ministerial meeting, Abdul-Sadig also met with the Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran. They discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sectors, in addition to exchanging technical expertise to contribute to improving performance and supporting the stability of energy markets.
