The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army commends the level of readiness and discipline achieved by the counter-terrorism force.

Tripoli, October 16, 2025 (LANA) - The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, praised the level reached by the Counter-Terrorism Unit, calling for continued training to confront all potential threats that may target vital targets and facilities in the country.

This came during Al-Haddad's inspection visit this morning to the Counter-Terrorism Force headquarters in Al-Khums, where he was received by Major General Mohamed Mahmoud Al-Zein, Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Force, and a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers from the Special Forces.

The Chief of Staff also directed the need to maintain physical fitness and operational efficiency to ensure that the Counter-Terrorism Force remains at the forefront of units capable of carrying out specialized missions with professionalism and competence, thus enhancing the protection of the nation and its citizens.

The Chief of Staff was accompanied during his inspection visit to the Force Headquarters by Brigadier General Fawzi Dayr al-Lail, from the Moral Guidance Department; Major General Hussein Abdullah, from the Public Works Department; Major General Nouri Shanouq, Commander of the Training Department; and Major General Abdul Basit al-Sharaa, Director of the Loan Fund.

Lieutenant General Mohammed al-Haddad's visit to the Force Headquarters today comes as part of his ongoing monitoring of the combat readiness and enhancement of the field capabilities of the Special Forces.
