Tripoli, October 13, 2025 (LANA) – The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, met today, Monday, in Tripoli, with the Deputy Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Lieutenant General John Brennan, the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, Jeremy Berndt, and their accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Chief of Operations.
The Chief of General Staff welcomed the guests, emphasizing the depth of relations between the two countries and praising their support for the steps to unify the military institution in Libya.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation between Libya and the United States was discussed, as well as the implementation of a number of joint training programs to enhance the efficiency of Libyan army personnel.
A number of topics of common interest were also discussed, which will enhance security and stability throughout the country.
