Tripoli, October 9, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, accompanied by Second Deputy Speaker Moussa Faraj, discussed the political situation in Libya today, Thursday, with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Khoury. They discussed the efforts made to advance the political process.

The Council stated on its official page that the meeting discussed the UN roadmap for a political solution in Libya and the observations contained in the report of the Council's evaluation and study committee for the UN roadmap, which was presented and approved during the Council's session last Monday.

It is noteworthy that the efforts made to advance the political process are progressing to reach the stage of elections and achieve lasting stability.
