Dabaiba honors participants in the Steadfastness Convoy with the Homeland Medal

Tripoli, October 8, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, honored the participants in the Sumood Convoy with the Order of the Nation on Wednesday, in recognition of their courage and noble humanitarian and national stance.
This came during his reception of a group of Libyan citizens who participated in the Sumood Convoy aboard the Omar Al-Mukhtar ship bound for the Gaza Strip, as well as a number of foreign dignitaries who accompanied them on the humanitarian mission.
In his speech during the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his pride and appreciation for the heroic and humanitarian stance of the participants, who, through their actions, embodied the spirit of genuine Libyan solidarity with the Palestinian people and the suffering of the people of Gaza. He emphasized that their stance will be recorded in the pages of national history as one of the honorable stances that expresses the conscience of every free Libyan.
Dabaiba noted that the government has been closely monitoring their situation since contact with them was cut off, and has utilized its relations and communications to ensure their safety and safe return. He added that their humanitarian initiative reflects Libyans' belief in freedom, justice, and standing with the oppressed.
Dabaiba affirmed that Libya will remain a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian cause and back all humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
