Libya and Indonesia discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in several fields.

Tripoli, October 6, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, received on Monday in Tripoli the Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Anis Mata, and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, education, and the energy sector. They also discussed cooperation in the sectors of infrastructure, trade, services, management of vital facilities, and the development of technical competencies, as well as health, transportation, ports, and airports, and the benefiting from Indonesian expertise in these areas.

In this context, the meeting addressed the importance of establishing a regular consultation mechanism through a joint committee, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries to serve the interests of the friendly peoples of Libya and Indonesia.

The two sides also reviewed international and regional issues of common interest, especially the situation in Gaza, affirming their convergence of positions on the Palestinian issue.

The two sides agreed to continue communication and consultation on issues of common interest, in a way that strengthens bilateral relations and ongoing cooperation between the two friendly countries.
