MP Nassiya: The National Reconciliation Committee meeting in Zintan confirms the Libyans' ability to engage in national dialogue within Libya.

Zintan, October 5, 2025 (LANA) - Member of the House of Representatives, Abdul Salam Nassiya, said that the meeting of the Preparatory Committee for National Reconciliation in the city of Zintan reflects the ability of Libyans to come together within their borders and sends a strong message that there is a place where all Libyans can meet and engage in dialogue.
Nassiya added in press statements that the meeting sends a clear message to the United Nations and the international community that Libyans are capable of leading their national dialogue within Libya.
The member of the House of Representatives expressed his gratitude to the municipality and people of Zintan for hosting all Libyan parties, noting that Zintan has proven itself to be a "land of peace" that unites all Libyans, reflecting the sincerity of its national path, which it has always spoken of, and that it is the appropriate place for everyone to meet.
He added, "We are proud to host all Libyans, regardless of their affiliation, for dialogue and to discuss issues of reconciliation and disagreements, and we affirm our full support for everything that unites Libyans and brings them together."
The eighth meeting of the Preparatory Committee for National Reconciliation began today, Sunday, in the city of Zintan, under the auspices of the African Union, the Presidential Council, and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). This meeting is part of the preparations for the comprehensive national reconciliation conference.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the United Nations Mission, the African Union, a number of ambassadors, and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations operating in Libya.
