Tripoli, October 2, 2025 (LANA) – Member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, condemned in the strongest terms the "treacherous and brutal" attack perpetrated by the Zionist entity on the "Sumood Flotilla" ships, describing it as a terrorist crime and a flagrant violation of international law and human rights.

In a tweet posted on his official account on the "X" platform, Al-Lafi explained that this attack not only targets the ships, but also affects the lives of civilians and their right to freedom and security. It is an extension of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip and the starvation of its population, who are being subjected, he described as "genocide under the eyes of the international community and with the silent complicity of some parties."

Al-Lafi held the Zionist entity fully responsible for these "crimes," stressing that the international silence regarding them "legitimizes injustice and increases the suffering of innocent civilians."

The Presidential Council member called on the international community, with all its institutions, to take a clear and firm stance condemning these actions, working to lift the siege on Gaza, ensuring the protection of civilians, and enforcing international law to protect human rights.
