Tripoli, October 1, 2025 (LANA) – Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, discussed the latest political and security developments on Wednesday with Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba.

The two sides affirmed their support for the work of the committee tasked with following up on the Stability Enhancement Agreement, activating the institutional framework for implementing the agreement's provisions, and adhering to the redeployment plan, including the withdrawal of the Ministry of Defense's reserve forces from the borders of Greater Tripoli.

In addition, each security agency will withdraw to a single main headquarters, leading to the Security Directorate assuming the task of securing Tripoli from the Conflict Resolution Committee.
