Al-Abed meets with the Egyptian ambassador.

Tripoli, September 29, 2025 (LANA) - Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, discussed the situation of Egyptian workers in Libya on Monday with the Egyptian Ambassador, Tamer Al-Hafni.
During the meeting, Al-Abed stressed the importance of settling the legal status of Egyptian workers and adhering to applicable legislation, which guarantees workers' rights and maintains the regularity of the Libyan labor market.
He stressed the need for the Egyptian embassy to play its important role in monitoring the conditions of its citizens, educating them, and urging them to adhere to the laws and procedures regulating work in Libya.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador emphasized the strength of relations between the two countries and Egypt's keenness to ensure that the presence of its citizens in Libya is within a legal and regulated framework, reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the two peoples.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation's commitment to regulating and controlling the Libyan labor market, in a manner that serves the national interest and enhances bilateral cooperation between Libya and Egypt, according to the Ministry of Labor.
