Dabaiba meets with Berndt.

Tripoli, 29 September 2025 (Lana) Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Dabaiba, received yesterday Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, at the Prime Minister’s office in Tripoli.
According to the communication office of the government, the meeting discussed political, economic, and security developments, as well as mechanisms to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and cooperation in a number of different areas.
The two sides emphasized the importance of accelerating the political process and unifying efforts while continuing coordination to serve common interests and strengthen cooperation between Libya and the U.S.
According to Berndt in a tweet by the Embassy, the meeting reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and also discussed how the U.S. can support Libyan efforts to unify institutions, build lasting peace and stability, and increase prosperity and economic opportunities for both the Libyan people and Libya’s international partners.
