An expanded security meeting was held in the city of Sabha to discuss the security situation and challenges facing the southern region.

Sebha, September 28, 2025 (LANA) – The expanded security meeting held this morning by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Ahmed Houma, with the security directors and security and law enforcement agencies in the southern region was devoted to discussing the security situation in the region.

The meeting reviewed the most prominent difficulties and obstacles facing the security agencies, in addition to discussing mechanisms to enhance joint coordination and improve performance to ensure continued security stability in the region.

Houma stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and close cooperation between various security agencies to maintain security in the region and enhance the institutions' ability to confront current challenges. He praised the role played by the security directorates in promoting stability.
