Dbaiba inspects progress of Al-Malaytah housing project in Misrata.

Misrata, September 27, 2025 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, today, Saturday, made a field visit to the Al-Malaytah housing project in Misrata. The project is being implemented as part of the Prime Minister's Housing Initiative, which aims to build 150,000 housing units under the supervision of the National Housing and Urban Development Program.
The project consists of 750 housing units distributed across 350 residential blocks, each consisting of two floors, with an area of 150 square meters per unit. The project is being built on a total area of 37 hectares and includes integrated infrastructure, service roads, two schools, a shopping center, a mosque, and a kindergarten.
During his tour, Faisal bin Dardaf, Director General of the National Housing and Urban Development Program, briefed the Prime Minister on the progress and components of the project, confirming that work is proceeding according to plan.
For his part, Dbaiba emphasized that the project represents an integrated model that provides modern housing and basic services to ensure a decent life for the beneficiary families. He also indicated that the government is continuously monitoring these projects to ensure rapid completion and adherence to technical standards.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to expedite the completion of infrastructure work, including schools, the pumping station, the power station, and the commercial center, to ensure the project is fully delivered to beneficiaries.
It is worth noting that the project is being implemented in cooperation between the Savings Company and the 2,870 Housing Unit Project of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency.
