The Libyan Embassy in Niamey follows up on the conditions of Libyan prisoners in Niger.

Niamey, September 26, 2025 (LANA) - The Chargé d'Affaires at the Libyan Embassy in Niger, Abdul Rahman Al-Hadi Khamada, discussed with the Director of the Department of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, Maman Sidou, the conditions of Libyan prisoners detained in Niger. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Youssef Kaka.
The two sides discussed the conditions of Libyan prisoners detained by the competent Nigerien authorities and the difficulties facing the embassy's consular section in following up on their affairs. This comes as part of the Libyan Embassy's commitment to ensuring the rights of Libyan citizens abroad, according to the Libyan Embassy in Niger.
A number of issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting, serving the interests of the peoples of both countries, within the framework of strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between the State of Libya and the Republic of Niger.
