America Supports AU Efforts to Promote Libyan Unity and Stability.

New York, September 24, 2025 (LANA) – US Presidential Advisor for Africa and the Middle East, Massad Boulos, affirmed the United States' commitment to supporting African Union-led efforts to promote Libya's unity and stability.

Boulos tweeted on Thursday evening: "I spoke with the President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, about how the United States can support African Union-led efforts to promote Libya's unity and stability."

The meeting, according to the tweet, also discussed ways to expand economic partnerships between the United States and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the benefit of both countries.

It is worth noting that President Denis Sassou Nguesso chairs the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya, which seeks to find peaceful and sustainable solutions to the Libyan crisis through dialogue and consensus among the various parties.
