Takala discusses with the Russian ambassador the latest political developments and ways to enhance cooperation between Libya and Russia

Tripoli, September 25, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, discussed the political situation in the country and the efforts being made to advance the political process today, Thursday, with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Aydar Aganin.

The Council stated, via its official page, that the meeting was held at the Council's headquarters and addressed relations between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation, and the mechanism for activating the Libyan-Russian Friendship Committee.

He explained that the meeting discussed the UN roadmap for resolving the political crisis in Libya.
