Takala discusses with the Turkish ambassador the latest developments in the UN roadmap

Tripoli, September 25, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, received the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Bekçi, today, Thursday, at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.

The meeting addressed the latest political developments in the country, and views were exchanged regarding the roadmap presented by the UN envoy to the Security Council last August, with the aim of breaking the political deadlock, ending the state of division, and moving towards completing the anticipated electoral deadlines.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed bilateral relations between Libya and Turkey and ways to strengthen them in various fields, to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.
