Tripoli, September 25, 2025 (LANA) - A team from the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) met yesterday, Wednesday, with members of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) representing the western region.
The mission reported on its official page that the discussions focused on ways to consolidate and sustain the ceasefire agreement, as well as activating activities related to the clearance of mines and remnants of war.
The members of the JMC also affirmed their continued commitment to cooperation with the mission, including strengthening the capabilities of military engineering teams to remove unexploded ordnance in the ceasefire agreement areas and other areas affected by remnants of war.
