Wafaa Al-Kilani meets with UN Deputy Special Representative.

Tripoli, September 25, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Social Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Wafaa Al-Kilani, yesterday discussed with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and UN Resident Coordinator in Libya, Ulrika Richardson, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of family, childhood, and persons with disabilities, as well as supporting and empowering women.
The meeting addressed programs and projects aimed at improving family conditions, protecting children's rights, and providing care and services to persons with disabilities, with a focus on developing coordination mechanisms to ensure tangible results.
Al-Kilani emphasized the importance of partnerships with the United Nations and international organizations to promote social work, empower women, and achieve sustainable and comprehensive development in Libya.
For her part, Ulrika Richardson praised the level of cooperation, stressing the importance of working together to support family programs, protect the rights of displaced persons, and advance the national reconciliation process.
