The Minister of Justice discussed with the head of the political section of the UN mission the working mechanism of the Political Parties Committee.

Tripoli, September 23, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Justice of the Government of National Unity, Halima Ibrahim, received on Tuesday the Head of the Political Section of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), his deputy, and the Deputy Head of the Mission's Elections Section.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the meeting addressed the mechanism of the Political Parties Committee's work in registering political parties and the challenges it faces.

The meeting, which was attended by the Ministry's Rapporteur for the Political Parties Committee and a number of the committee's advisors, also addressed ways to support the committee to enable it to perform its duties.
