Tripoli, 22 September 2025 (Lana) Director General of the National Economic and Social Development Board, Mahmoud Alftise, discussed with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Libya, Sophie Kemkhadze, the joint memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties in early 2025.

The two parties agreed to provide technical support from UNDP for the project to design the National Strategy for Risk and Disaster Management, which resulted in the formation of a government working group from the Council of Ministers of the Government of National Unity.
