Tripoli, 21 September 2025 (Lana) Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (UNSMIL) and UN Resident Coordinator in Libya, Ulrika Richardson, emphasized the importance of enhancing the social services in Libya during her meeting with GNU Minister of Social Affairs Wafaa Al-Kilani.
“We discussed the importance of social services that improve the lives of Libyan children, women, and men, and reviewed social protection schemes, including those supporting persons with disabilities, especially young people, to facilitate their inclusion in the labor market,” Richardson said in a tweet.
This meeting came within the framework of the ongoing cooperation between UNSMIL and the Ministry of Social Affairs to support policies that promote social development and equal opportunities in the country.
