Two vehicles and illegal migrants were seized in Al-Jufra.

Sukna, September 17, 2025 (Lana) Security forces at the Sukna Police Station, affiliated with the Jufra Security Directorate, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large number of illegal migrants of various African nationalities, and they were on their way to an unknown destination within the country.

Security sources at the directorate told (Lana) that police officers became suspicious of two passenger vehicles belonging to a rural bank. Upon searching the vehicles, they found 24 illegal migrants, including a woman, without any identification documents.

The sources added that the migrants were handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Jufra, pending the necessary legal measures regarding their deportation, in accordance with applicable legislation, and the two vehicles were also seized, and legal action was taken against those involved in the smuggling operation.

The Directorate called on citizens to strengthen security partnerships and actively contribute to protecting society by immediately reporting any suspicious movements or criminal activities.
