Tripoli, September 15, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Eng. Masoud Suleiman, held a meeting today, Monday, with SLB (Schlumberger) at the Corporation's headquarters in Tripoli to discuss areas of joint cooperation and evaluate the company's performance in Libya.

During the meeting, SLB's activities within the country and the level of technical services it provides to sector companies were reviewed, particularly with regard to well services and other support services. Eng. Suleiman emphasized the importance of improving the efficiency and quality of these services to contribute to supporting production and maintenance operations.

The two sides also discussed ways SLB can contribute to sustainable development programs in areas adjacent to oil operations, in addition to training and qualifying programs for national personnel and enhancing their technical capabilities.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed the importance of supporting Libyan academic institutions by providing licenses for SLB software for universities, which enhances the quality of education and scientific research in the oil industry.

This meeting comes within the framework of the National Oil Corporation's commitment to developing strategic partnerships with international companies operating in the sector and achieving the highest levels of technical performance to serve the national economy.
