US Embassy: We encourage Libyans to unify institutions and achieve economic prosperity.

Tripoli, September 10, 2025 (LANA) – The US Embassy to Libya affirmed, in a tweet posted on its official account on X, its commitment to supporting stability and progress efforts in Libya, praising its recent meetings with a number of Libyans from various regions in the Italian capital, Rome, last week.
The embassy said in its tweet, "It was an honor for the United States to have the opportunity to engage with Libyans from both east and west in Rome last week. The primary goal was to encourage Libyans to overcome differences, unify institutions, and fully commit to reform."
It added, "These steps are essential to achieving Libyan economic prosperity, including developing the crude oil sector, and promoting shared growth between Libyans and their international partners."
These statements come within the framework of renewed international efforts to support the national reconciliation process and unify sovereign institutions in Libya, coinciding with local and international efforts to provide a conducive environment for holding comprehensive elections and ending the transitional phases.
