The Administrative Control Authority discusses with the Russian ambassador mechanisms for developing e-governance and combating corruption.

Tripoli, September 8, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, received the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Haydar Aganin, at the Authority's headquarters in Tripoli on Monday. The meeting was devoted to discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the areas of oversight and anti-corruption.

According to a post published on the Authority's official Facebook page, the meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in the areas of transparency, administrative reform, and the exchange of international expertise. It also addressed supporting qualification and training programs and the use of modern technologies to develop e-governance systems, in coordination with counterpart oversight bodies in Russia.

During the meeting, Qaderbouh affirmed the Authority's commitment to building strategic partnerships with international partners to support its institutional capabilities and enhance its performance in accordance with national legislation. He emphasized that the Authority will continue to perform its duties "despite the challenges" and will not be affected by any pressures or threats.

For his part, the Russian Ambassador expressed his country's interest in cooperating with the Authority in supporting institutional stability, expressing his appreciation for the Authority's efforts in combating corruption and protecting the investment environment in Libya.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing technical coordination and developing institutional communication channels to serve the common interest and enhance stability and development.

This meeting comes as part of the Commission's approach to opening up to its international environment and responding to the challenges facing Libya, particularly in the area of ​​combating corruption and enhancing the confidence of citizens and international partners.
