The forum brings together oil and energy ministers from several Arab and foreign countries, along with CEOs of leading international oil, gas, and renewable energy companies.
In a speech delivered during a dialogue session titled "Balancing National Interests and the Global Energy System," the Minister reviewed Libya's strategic position as a reliable source of energy in the region and its vast oil and gas reserves. He emphasized that the country is confidently moving toward increasing sustainable production rates to two million barrels per day, with a focus on exploiting associated gas and reducing its flaring rates in line with environmental and sustainable development commitments.
Minister Abdel-Sadig stressed the need to achieve a balance between the national interests of energy-producing countries and the stability of the global energy system. He called for the establishment of fair and sustainable partnerships that ensure mutual benefit and enhance opportunities for economic growth and technological advancement in the energy sector, both regionally and internationally.
