Tripoli, September 6, 2025 (LANA) - The Libyan Coalition organized a solidarity stand today, Friday, in support of the residents of the Gaza Strip in Algeria Square in the capital, Tripoli, under the slogan "The Maghreb Resilience Flotilla."
The solidarity stand comes within the framework of Libya's participation in the joint regional action of the Maghreb countries: Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Mauritania, as part of the global flotilla heading to Gaza.
This initiative aims to break the siege imposed on Gaza and lift the injustice imposed on its residents through effective contribution to the global flotilla by providing financial support, providing boats, and participating with individuals. It also emphasizes that Libya will not be a slacker, but will be strongly present in every position supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Libyan Coalition emphasized in its speeches that this step stems from a religious, humanitarian, and historical responsibility, calling for media and popular support for the flotilla and for its cause to be present in the public consciousness.
The speakers emphasized that common sense rejects blockades and injustice, emphasizing that history is unforgiving to those who fail to support the oppressed.
The "Global Steadfastness Fleet" is an international movement involving solidarity activists from 44 countries. It includes more than 70 ships, aiming to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and express a global stance rejecting the blockade and supporting Palestinian rights.
The Libyan coalition, which includes individuals, institutions, and national campaigns, is considered one of the most prominent entities supporting the Palestinian cause. Through organizing relief convoys and popular and media events, it works to keep the issue alive in Libyan and Arab consciousness.
The "Maghreb Steadfastness Fleet" is scheduled to set sail from Tunisian ports on September 7, heading to Gaza to join the global fleet. This symbolic and practical step reflects the unity of the Maghreb peoples and their moral and humanitarian commitment to Palestine.
