Jakarta, September 6, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development discussed with the Indonesian Minister of Culture, Fadli Zuwon, ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries.
This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Chandi Summit for Culture, Heritage, Arts, and Novels 2025, held in Bali, Indonesia.
The Ministry of Culture reported that the meeting reviewed prospects for joint cooperation, particularly with regard to the exchange of knowledge and expertise and cooperation in the field of culture and arts.
The Ministry explained that the two sides agreed to draft a comprehensive memorandum of understanding in the field of culture and arts, which constitutes an institutional framework for sustainable cooperation between Libya and Indonesia.
It added that the Indonesian Minister welcomed the Indonesian government's provision of study opportunities for Libyan students wishing to specialize in the fields of art, culture, and the creative economy, through the "Darmasiswa" program, which is considered one of the most prominent cultural exchange programs in Asia.
