Al-Baour inspects maintenance work at the Libyan Consulate in Alexandria and follows up on the situation of the Libyan community in Egypt.

Alexandria, September 6, 2025 (LANA) - The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, visited the headquarters of the Libyan Consulate General in Alexandria (Loran Palace), as part of the Ministry's monitoring of the conditions of Libyan embassies, consulates, and diplomatic missions abroad.
During the visit, Al-Baour discussed aspects of consular work and the challenges facing the provision of services to members of the Libyan community in the Arab Republic of Egypt. A number of solutions were also proposed to improve the quality of services and facilitate consular procedures.
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was accompanied during the visit by the Director of the Arab Department at the Ministry's Diwan, the Permanent Representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Cairo. They were received by the Acting Minister of the Consulate General and the staff.
Al-Baour and his companions also conducted an inspection visit to the attaché building to review the progress of maintenance work and assess the general condition of the buildings, as part of the Ministry's efforts to improve the diplomatic work environment and ensure the continuity of services.
