Al-Menfi discusses with Tetteh the latest security and military developments in Tripoli

Tripoli, September 3, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, met this morning, Wednesday, at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, accompanied by the Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury.

The Media Office of the Presidential Council reported that the meeting was devoted to discussing the latest developments in the security and military situation in Tripoli, and the challenges facing efforts to achieve calm and a political settlement in the country.

The office stated that Tetteh expressed her deep appreciation for the pivotal role played by the President of the Presidential Council in advancing the national dialogue and his constant commitment to bringing the parties together at the negotiating table to consolidate the foundations of security and stability, and for a joint leadership that will accomplish the necessary national requirements.
