Tripoli, September 1, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, announced the commencement of the implementation of the salaries item through the Unified Treasury Account System, as part of the digital transformation efforts of the financial sector in Libya.

The Minister explained, in a video statement posted on the Ministry of Finance's official Facebook page on Monday, that the August salaries have already been processed through the new system, after it was fed with basic data for approximately 41% of public sector employees.

Al-Mabrouk indicated that the process of depositing salaries into employees' bank accounts will be carried out through the "Your Salary is Instant" system of the Central Bank of Libya, ensuring speed and accuracy of implementation.

The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity called on all administrative units funded by the state treasury to complete their employees' data through the electronic links designated for this purpose.

He said, "We ask all concerned parties to expedite the completion of the required data, given its importance in completing this national project as required."

The Minister of Finance emphasized that the Single Treasury Account System is part of the digital transformation strategy for public finance, which also includes developing the government financial information management and electronic payments and collection systems.

The Minister concluded by emphasizing that this strategy aims to reform public financial management, enhance transparency, and improve the efficiency of financial operations in the country.
