The House of Representatives' Finance Committee discusses amendments to the 2025 draft budget with the Central Bank and the National Oil Corporation.

Tripoli, September 1, 2025 (LANA) – The Planning, Finance, and General Budget Committee of the House of Representatives held an expanded meeting yesterday, Sunday, at the headquarters of the House's Diwan branch in Tripoli, with representatives of the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation. The meeting was held as part of a discussion of the draft state budget law for 2025.
House of Representatives spokesman Abdullah Blihaq explained in a statement posted on his official Facebook page that the meeting was held based on instructions and directives from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh. During the meeting, several observations on the draft budget were discussed, in preparation for amending it to align with the requirements of the current phase and the state's financial policy directions.
Blihaq added that the meeting comes within the framework of the efforts made by the House of Representatives to accelerate the pace of work on approving the budget and ensure its inclusion of various public spending items, particularly with regard to the service and development sectors.
