Al-Baour meets with the Dutch ambassador.

Tripoli, August 31, 2025 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, discussed with the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Libya, Arian Ulenzeif, arrangements related to resuming the work of the Dutch embassy in the capital, Tripoli, and ways to resume issuing visas to Libyan citizens, in addition to securing related logistical and security aspects.

This came during a meeting held this morning, Sunday, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli. The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for enhancing joint cooperation in various fields, serving mutual interests and contributing to consolidating the Libyan-Dutch partnership.

According to the Ministry's official website, the meeting addressed the issue of irregular migration, explored opportunities for cooperation in border management, and supported sustainable development programs to address the root causes of migration, thus enhancing stability and development efforts in Libya and the region.

The two sides also discussed the latest political developments in Libya and exchanged views on ways to support the peaceful process and political dialogue, leading to consensual solutions that contribute to achieving stability and strengthening state institutions.
