Istanbul, August 29, 2025 (LANA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed that Turkey's primary strategy in Libya is its territorial integrity, indivisibility, and territorial integrity.

In a television interview on a local Turkish channel, he said, "We have used our military presence in Libya to prevent further conflict," adding that his country is working to unify the east and west of the country.

He added, according to what was reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency on Friday, that they have not seen any major conflict in Libya, and that Turkey is playing a role in preventing the conflict from expanding.

The Turkish Foreign Minister noted that Libya has suffered for years from a division within official institutions, including the army, between the east and west of the country.
