Tripoli, August 29, 2025 (LANA) - The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, held an expanded meeting at his office on Thursday evening with members of the committee overseeing the implementation and consolidation of the truce.
The media center of the General Staff of the Libyan Army reported that the meeting was devoted to monitoring the security situation in the capital, Tripoli, to ensure the maintenance of calm.
Media websites and social media pages had reported reports of military movements and mobilizations in and outside the capital, raising fears among residents of new armed clashes.
