European-American agreement to support the political process in Libya

Tripoli, August 29, 2025 (LANA) - The Head of the European Union Delegation to Libya, Nicola Orlando, stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation with the United States of America regarding developments in the political, security, and economic situation in Libya. This came during his meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Berndt.
Orlando explained in a post published on his official account on X, that he expressed his satisfaction with exchanging views with the US Ambassador on various issues related to the Libyan issue, during a meeting that brought them together near the historic "Arch of Marcus Aurelius" in the capital, Tripoli.
The Head of the European Union Delegation indicated his agreement with Ambassador Berndt to continue dialogue and coordination, in cooperation with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Hanna Tetteh, in support of the political process in the country, which contributes to strengthening Libya's unity, stability, and prosperity.
