The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity intends to launch an awareness campaign for Libyan travelers.

Tripoli, August 24, 2025 (LANA) – The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Saeed, discussed on Sunday the problems faced by some Libyan citizens during their travels with the Director of the General Administration of Ports Security and the Head of the Red Crescent Misrata Branch.

The Undersecretary emphasized the need to intensify awareness efforts and enhance guidance for travelers. He directed preparations to launch a comprehensive awareness campaign targeting all air, land, and sea ports, through various media outlets and the Ministry's official digital platforms. This campaign will involve the participation of the Ministry of Youth, the Libyan Red Crescent, and the General Movement of Scouts and Guides.

The Undersecretary emphasized the importance of holding a dialogue session to raise awareness of the rights and duties of travelers and the role of the General Administration of Ports Security in ensuring the success of this campaign through direct field and guidance campaigns.

The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity affirmed its continued commitment to protecting citizens and providing a safe travel environment by raising awareness and providing the necessary guidance to ensure the safety of travelers.
