Tripoli, August 23, 2025 (LANA) - The High National Elections Commission announced on Saturday the preliminary results of the municipal council elections in 26 municipalities (Group II - 2025), which took place last Saturday.

The commission added that the number of voters in the municipal elections for Group II reached 165,159, with a participation rate of 72.41 percent.

The commission explained that the total number of voters reached 228,061, including 161,073 men and 66,988 women.

The Commission stated that the fingerprint list topped the list of eligible voters: Zliten Municipality, Al-Binaa in Qasr Al-Akhyar, Maslata Al-Emar, Al-Qara Boli Ras Al-Ghazal, Souk Al-Jumaa Al-Emar, Ain Zara Wifaq Ain Zara, Abu Salim Emar Tazkia, Tripoli Center Al-Saria, Andalusia District Al-Taawun, Al-Maya Al-Shams, Sawani Bani Adam Al-Qalam, Al-Azbazba Awdat Al-Hayat, 9 Al-Maamoura Roya Jadida, Al-Zahra Awdat Al-Hayat, Al-Ajilat Emar, Al-Jamil Al-Miftah, Al-Manshiya Al-Binaa and Al-Emar, Raqdalin Al-Zaytouna, Nalut Al-Tawafuq, Al-Asabaa Nabd Al-Madina, Kikla Al-Shorouk, Batin Al-Jabal Al-Tawafuq Al-Tanmia, Yafran Al-Ittihad, Zahir Al-Jabal Al-Wafaa Lil-Watan, Jadu Al-Emar and Al-Islah, Tabqa and Ain Al-Azhara Emar.

The High National Elections Commission has set the date for appeals against the preliminary results of the 2025 municipal council elections (Group Two - 2025) before the District Courts as next Sunday and Monday.
