Surman, August 17, 2025 (LANA) – The Surman Security Directorate expressed its full solidarity with the city's residents and the Union of Civil Society Organizations during their protest rally held last Friday evening, condemning the criminal attack targeting the directorate's headquarters in an attempt to destabilize security and disrupt the city's electoral process.

In a strongly worded statement, which it described as "important," the directorate affirmed that this cowardly attack, which targeted one of the most important pillars of the electoral process, will not deter it from moving forward in supporting the democratic process and fulfilling the aspirations of the city's people.

The statement indicated the directorate's categorical rejection of all forms of violence and its insistence on continuing to support the electoral process as an irreversible national choice. It emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen security capabilities, protect stability, and ensure the safety of citizens in Surman, while continuing to pursue the perpetrators legally and security-wise and bringing them to justice without leniency.
