Tripoli, August 16, 2025 (LANA) - The United Nations Election Support Team, along with the Director and staff of the Electoral Management Office, toured a number of polling stations in the Qasr al-Akhyar Municipality, east of Tripoli.

The High National Elections Commission said on Saturday that the team's tour was secured by security forces.

The voting process to elect (26) municipal councils out of (63) councils began at exactly (9:00) a.m. today, according to the Elections Commission.
