Tripoli, August 13, 2025 (LANA) - The Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, affirmed his support for steps that would preserve Libya's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

This came during his reception today, Wednesday, at his office, of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, and the accompanying members of the mission.

For her part, Tetteh praised the Chief of General Staff's efforts to resolve disputes in order to achieve stability and peace.

The UN envoy expressed her hope that the United Nations would play a positive role in supporting Libya and assisting the Libyan people in achieving their aspirations for stability and development.
