Tripoli, August 13, 2025 (LANA) – Member of the Electoral Commission (EC) Abdulhakim Al-Shaab discussed on Wednesday with the Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Mohammed Saleh, the Commission's preparations for Election Day, scheduled for August 16.
The Commission stated that the meeting addressed the means of support that can be provided to ensure the success of this electoral process, reflecting the aspirations of voters. The meeting included a field tour of the Counting and Statistics Center to review the center's readiness, equipment, and the training provided to the center's staff to process the ballot data, leading up to the announcement of the results.
Mohammed Saleh praised the efforts made by the Commission during the preceding stages of the electoral process and the level of current preparations for Election Day, stressing the UNDP's continued support to the Commission with the aim of enhancing its readiness and enabling it to conduct elections in an environment characterized by integrity and transparency.
