The National Oil Corporation adopts a comprehensive training plan to support digital transformation and increase productivity in the oil sector.

Tripoli, August 13, 2025 (LANA) – The Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), during its tenth meeting for 2025, held yesterday, Tuesday, at the corporation's headquarters in Tripoli, approved the short-term training plan prepared by the General Department of Training, Development, and Capacity Building at the corporation.
The plan aims to build human capacity and raise the level of performance and professional competence of workers in the sector, as well as to prepare future leaders, promote a culture of occupational safety, encourage innovation, increase productivity, and support digital and technological transformation.
This plan targets all employees in the oil sector, regardless of their specializations, with a focus on field specializations in fields, ports, and operational sites, especially those who have not previously received training opportunities.
The General Department of Training and Capacity Building at the corporation confirmed that the plan includes a precise and organized mechanism for monitoring training operations, using an electronic system that tracks program implementation and ensures adherence to professional standards. It also requires companies to submit periodic reports showing the number of courses implemented and their impact on company performance and the corporation as a whole.
The plan is based on an integrated strategic vision, beginning with specialized training within Libya, followed by advanced training abroad, in preparation for the launch of a long-term training plan. This plan is in line with the National Oil Corporation's comprehensive development vision to enhance the sector's performance.
