Celebrations kick off in Tripoli to mark the anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army.

Tripoli, August 11, 2025 (LANA) - Celebrations marking the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army began at the Military College in Tripoli on Monday evening, with the attendance of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba.
The celebration was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, commanders of military regions, a number of officers and soldiers from the military establishment, and a large crowd of citizens and parents of newly graduated students from military colleges.
During the celebration, a graduation ceremony for students from military colleges, academies, and the Military Technical Institute will be held at the headquarters of the Military College in Tripoli.
